Rewa Provincial Holdings Company Ltd BOARD OF DIRECTORS 2021-2025 Strategic Planning workshop

Board members and stakeholders of the Rewa Provincial Holding Company Limited (RPHCL) successfully completed its two days strategic planning workshop at the Novotel Lami held over Thursday 11 – Friday 12 March, 2021. .
Speaking at the opening of the workshop on the topic Opportunities for Growth for Provincial Companies and Reimaging as a Market Competitor, Mr Isoa Kaloumaira highlighted that post covid-19, the Company should consider:
(1) Looking inwards by reviewing its organisation structure, systems and processes and cutting out excesses in order to maintain a lean organization;
(2) Building its cash position and maintaining a strong balance sheet to strengthen its bargaining position; and
(3) Actively searching for opportunities that are resilient in the current adverse business environment.
Mr Kaloumaira also challenged the Company to look at ways to maximize the commercial use of all the Company’s adjacent land where its current building is located and stressed the importance of ensuring the right people at Board level.
The workshop was attended by Board members and key shareholders including the Roko Tui Rewa who had the opportunity to look back at key accomplishments in the past 3 years of operations then turned their focus to mapping out a strategic plan for the next three years. The Directors acknowledged that maintaining a good corporate governance record is a key component of its operations.
The Board directors are to meet over the next few weeks to discuss the details of the Plan. The workshop was closed by The Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa who emphasized that the company should now build up from its current strong position and requested that Board members must continue to strive towards better results for the company for the benefit of the people of Rewa.
The Rewa Provincial Holding Company Limited was established in 1992 as the commercial business arm of the vanua of Rewa and the people of Rewa. Rewa consists of nine districts. Property management is the principal business activity of the company and its main asset is the ten storey Ro Lalabalavu House on Victoria Parade currently leased to the Government of Fiji.
